Pros: Full ATX Board, Noted other 890 series boards in other mnfgr's were only Micro ATX. Future board fur sure.. Support for 6 core technology, Sata 3 , USB 3 , DDR 3 . And many more digital interfaces, Good expansion oppurtunitys..Fast !! Win 7 64 955 X4 , And it even had a floppy drive connecter onboard for us old timers.. Great board to step into the arena with NICE !!!
Where to Buy
Cons: If installing in a Antec 902 gaming tower, Sata ports are a bit close to Bottom HD fan shroud but is managable without pulling the section back . Not a big deal though.....Oh one other thing, You will have to flash cmos For 6 core support , Chips have'nt made it out quit yet and will be pricey $$. I would'nt flash unless you had to, Cmos is still young.( Have always like Award Bios Which This Board Has. AMI has become to basic, with much less options)
Other Thoughts: Excellent High Def sound you cant go wrong with realtek intergrated audio, On board video is suitable High Def movie watching fur sure, and it buys you time till you can afford that super card. New series chipset Nicely matched

Pros: Gigabyte quality. SATA 3.0, USB 3.0, 8x8 on PCIe in cross fire without the big price tag for 16X16 or cheap board with 8X4.
Good over clocker and very stable for me.
Cons: CPU socket a little close to RAM slots. Only right angle SATA.
8 pin is at far upper corner, and is lower than heatsink. Makes it a little tough to plug it in. ASUS 890 board has extended their 8 pin to the height of their heat sink making it easy to locate and plug power into slot.
Other Thoughts: Some are upset that Gigabyte didnt include ACC. I read that AMD insisted that it not be included in the BIOS. They dont like us unlocking cores. ASUS has a core unlocker on their board, but it software driven and is "Locked" meaning you can unlock cores but then you're limited in the mhz you apply. At some point around 3.7 it automatically locks a core and reduces you to a tri core but allows you to clock the tri core higher. I had read this before buying this board. Running quad, so didnt care
